Repetitive Process Automation (RPA)

Using digital technology, we deliver rapid, cost-effective and scalable automation solutions.

There is an increasing appetite from organisations to automate processes using digital technology, from using Python embedded in O365 applications through to Robotic Process Automation (RPA). The following case studies blend Python, PowerApps and RPA to deliver rapid, cost effective and scalable automation solutions within a project environment.

RPA is a tangible and accessible way to minimise repetitive and manual tasks. It is a low-cost solution where robot software replicates the actions of a human carrying out a digital process. It can extract content and data, validate data, interact with applications, move files and folders, copy and paste and much more. It is a great way of automating processes and improving data quality without needing to implement large scale corporate systems. This is just one of the ways that we are applying technology to improve project delivery.

Use Cases

We are currently undertaking some work for PMO to help automate some of their more process-driven tasks.

Challenge 1 - Extracting course information from emails.

  1. Check inbox for unread emails which contain new order notifications.
  2. Extract specific data, locate the relevant spreadsheet and input data into correct spaces (including changing cell formatting)
  3. Create a new customer record in a CRM.
  4. Create a dashboard enabling you to use this to create reports, powerpoint slides and social media posts, plus much more!

See PMO's Blog (and demo video), introducing Cyril Bot.

Challenge 2 - Scraping information from a web page, inputting it into an image template and then scheduling a social media post.

Challenge 3 - Creating a user specific newsletter.
